Renewal of the Faculty Sports Centre

The renovation of the Faculty Sports Centre is completed, the students can use the courts again.
The Faculty Sports Centre re-opened on 18 September 2014 and used by the students, lecturers and workers of the Faculty. The Faculty renovated the building inside and outside as well on its own resources, in 23million Ft. The works took 2 months. Besides the building, the basketball fields got new coating, painting and backboards.
At the opening of the Sports Centre Prof. Ferenc Bari Dean emphasized that instead of closing it the Faculty decided on the renovation and development of the facility. He asked the students to use the sport fields as much as possible. On the occassion of the re-opening medical students played a basketball match.

The University of Szeged has reached a new milestone: a new precision robotic surgical device has been tested at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School, which could revolutionise the accuracy and safety of knee replacement surgery.
According to this year's national ranking of higher education institutions, the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School is the best faculty at the University of Szeged.
