Students’Scientific Conference 2016-Spring was held between 8-12 March 2016. Dóra Paróczai, a 5th year medical student and a student researcher at our institute was awarded a second place in the Biochemistry-Microbiology-Immunology Section. She was also awarded the opportunity to participate at the XXXIII National Students’ Scientific Conference in Pécs. The subject of her presentation was: “The effect of vitamin D treatment in the lungs on Chlamydophila pneumoniae infected mouse”.

The University of Szeged has reached a new milestone: a new precision robotic surgical device has been tested at the Department of Traumatology and Orthopaedic Surgery at the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School, which could revolutionise the accuracy and safety of knee replacement surgery.
According to this year's national ranking of higher education institutions, the Albert Szent-Györgyi Medical School is the best faculty at the University of Szeged.
