Research activity:
Examining eicosanoid synthesis in cerebral microvessels, in large vessels, in platelets:
- its pathogenic role in various conditions (diabetes, epilepsy, hypertension, cardiac failure, multiple sclerosis),
- examining the mechanism of action in case of certain neuropeptides,
- examining the effects of medications in order to clarify the mechanism of action and side effects,
- examining the role of eicosanoids in addiction/substance abuse (smoking, alcoholism)
Examining the effects of certain diets on eicosanoid synthesis and as a consequence, on the pathomechanism, prevention and therapy of certain diseases.News
